AAA School of Advertising Graduation Ceremony brings top students to the fore

ACA, 09/03/2010

The next generation of advertising aficionados from the Johannesburg campus of the AAA School of Advertising received their official send off into the industry at the Graduation Ceremony on Friday, March 5. The annual ceremony was held at the University of Witwatersrand’s Linder Auditorium in Parktown.

“We bid a farewell to an exceptionally talented group of students this year,” says Ludi Koekemoer, Principal and Managing Director of AAA. “And while it is always a sad moment, it is also tremendously exciting to see them embarking on their journeys armed with new knowledge and skills.”

The opening speech was delivered by Xoliswa Ndungane, General Manager BMW Brand (South Africa) and AAA alumni. Trophies were awarded to top students in eleven categories ranging from Top Art Direction and Top Copywriting to the Best Radio Spot (a full list is included below). This year’s winning campaign was sponsored by Y&R and Danone Clover.

“With the economy on the upturn, advertising in this country is very much alive and well,” adds Koekemoer. “I have no doubt that many of these graduates are going to quickly make their mark and establish themselves in the industry.”
